I view it as a great privilege to work with people in this process of self-discovery. I’m trained in theories and techniques which help me work as a counsellor/therapist, however, my main guiding principle is to view each client as an individual and never work with a one approach fits all mentality. The things I do try to offer consistently are understanding, honesty and lack of judgment. I also understand your need for privacy and that this may be the first time you’ve been able to talk about certain things with anyone.

Why Counselling?
We often have a sense that ‘things’ don’t feel entirely right for us emotionally or mentally - sometimes it can take us years to recognise it and sometimes it’s much faster. Emotional pain or discomfort might be the result of a life event such as a bereavement, loss of work or an abuse (physical or emotional), a marital/relationship breakdown, or more long-standing, hard to name feelings from a difficult childhood, or just a change of direction in life which we are finding hard to navigate/work place issues.
The point is it’s never too late (or too early) to address it.
Counselling or psychotherapy is one of the best ways to start to understand yourself and live a more fulfilling & authentic life. It’s not a quick fix or a ‘cure’ but is perhaps a platform for understanding.
